A 16-year-old boy was injured in a shooting Saturday afternoon on the city’s South Side, near Bud Billiken Parade.
The boy was involved in a verbal altercation with a man in the 4400 block of South King Drive, police said. Around 1:05 p.m., the man pulled out a gun and shot the teen, who was shot in the head.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was initially listed in good condition, police said.
A person of interest was arrested and police said two firearms were recovered at the scene. Detectives are investigating, police said.
