Two men were shot and killed in the North Lawndale neighborhood about an hour apart Monday morning, according to police.
Police said a 22-year-old man was walking in the 1800 block of South Komensky Avenue around 9:40 a.m. when someone shot him from a black SUV. The man was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
About an hour later, at 10:50 a.m., police said a 20-year-old man was standing in the 3700 block of West Roosevelt Road when a man got out of an SUV and began shooting , touching him in the arm, chest and side. The man was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
Police officials could not say Monday afternoon whether the shootings were related, but said no one was in custody for either killing and detectives were investigating.
