Not everything went as planned for the drivers at Cambridge on Saturday.
The Cambridge Police Department had to close Cambridge and Third streets after a boat got stuck in traffic.
A road was closed in an unusual manner tonight around 7 p.m. after a 30-foot boat slipped off its trailer at Cambridge & Third Streets. The driver stopped at a red light and as he accelerated through the intersection, the safety chains gave way and the boat slid across the road. There were no injuries. pic.twitter.com/7LcPIZ0BLl

A 30-foot boat slid off its trailer onto the road at Cambridge and Third Street around 7 p.m. Saturday, Cambridge police said. The driver apparently stopped at a red light but then accelerated rapidly during the interaction. Safety chains connecting the boat to the vehicle snapped and the boat slid onto the road, the department said.
Images shared by the department on social media show the boat resting in the middle of a lane, with cars driving around it.
According to Cambridge police, no one was injured. But a bigger boat may be needed.
