A 5-year-old boy was found dead in a messy Bronx apartment, police and sources said Tuesday.
Police were called to Deneil Timberlake’s home on Bassford Ave. near E. 182nd St. in Belmont just before 3:40 a.m. Sunday, cops said.
When they arrived, Deneil was unconscious and unresponsive. Doctors rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, but he could not be saved.
The boy showed no obvious signs of trauma and the city’s medical examiner will determine the cause of his death.
Other children were believed to have lived in the home. The family has a history with the Administration for Children’s Services, PIX reported.
Deneil’s parents are cooperating with police, sources said.
