Democrats gathered for the final night of their convention in Chicago. Harris is scheduled to address delegates, lawmakers and other attendees and formally accept the party’s presidential nomination later in the evening.

Harris puts ‘finishing touches’ on speech, aide says

Quentin Fulks, Harris’ top campaign adviser, told CBS News chief White House correspondent Nancy Cordes that Harris was still putting the “finishing touches” on her speech.

But she always knows “exactly” what she wants to say, Fulks said.

Fulks said Harris is not completely revamping her speech, as former President Bill Clinton did. made earlier this weekwhen he rewrote his speech after seeing the enthusiasm of the congress crowd.
