Missing Britons in Sweden may be victims of double murder | World News

The families of two Britons who went missing in Sweden are appealing for information about their fate, fearing they may have been victims of a double murder.

This occurs after a pair of bodies have been found in burning car in an industrial area of ​​Malmö on Sunday afternoon.

Rescuers made the discovery after putting out the flames – with a possible bullet hole in one of the victims, according to local media.

Police have yet to formally identify the individuals, but reports suggest they are British and may have been shot before the fire started.

Juan Cifuentes, 33, and Farooq Abdulrazak, 37, went to Denmark And Sweden for an overnight business trip and were due to return to the UK at 6pm on Sunday, according to a social media appeal.

They said they never returned home and have not been in contact since.

The couple are from north London and are believed to work for a travel agency.

The burnt-out Toyota Rav 4 was rented from Copenhagen airport after two Britons flew in from Heathrow, according to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.

CCTV showed three people were inside when the vehicle crossed the Öresund Bridge into Sweden, Sydsvenskan reported.

“The two people found dead in a burnt-out car on Sunday afternoon have not yet been identified,” police said on Tuesday.

“The bodies are being forensically examined. The incident is currently being investigated as a murder.
