Shortly before 12:15 a.m. Saturday, a 58-year-old woman was fatally shot while inside a vehicle at a rally in North Lawndale.
Multiple shots were fired from an alley in the 3900 block of W. Ogden Avenue, with one bullet hitting the victim in the neck.
She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, where she was later pronounced dead.
No one is in custody. Investigators are investigating the incident.
