The plane crashed near Troutdale Airport in Oregon around 10:30 a.m. local time, hitting a utility pole or tower, which sparked a brush fire. The plane then crashed into a row house, starting a fire in two structures before spreading to four, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said at a news conference Saturday.

At least five families have been displaced, and a sixth condo is currently under evaluation, Lewis said.

Two Portland General Electric transmission lines remained out of service Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

Fairview is approximately 20 minutes from Portland, Oregon.

Debris from the crash is scattered in several areas and the sheriff’s office is securing the scene to assist the FAA investigation.
