Anna Wintour reportedly asked Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb to keep quiet during the US Open men’s championship match.
The three ladies, along with Savannah Guthrie, attended the star-studded game over the weekend, when the famed Vogue editor-in-chief asked her “Today” colleagues to tone it down a notch.
“Tennis is fun! We were loud and annoying,” Kotb, 60, recalled on Monday’s episode of “Today With Hoda and Jenna.”
Bush Hager, 42, argued that some celebrities – like former professional player Stan Smith – even encouraged them to “make more noise,” even though not everyone in the crowd was a fan of that direction.
“I think Anna Wintour asked us to be quiet,” Bush Hager said, to which Kotb responded coyly.
A representative for Vogue did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
At these games, fans are often encouraged to remain quiet when a game is about to begin so that the athletes can fully concentrate.
However, some players, like Coco Gauff, have already said that they don’t mind the distractions from fans.
Kotb, Bush Hager and Guthrie sat together to cheer on American tennis player Taylor Fritz, who eventually lost to Italian Jannik Sinner at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.
The three broadcast personalities enjoyed snacking on some of the stadium’s food offerings, cheering on Fritz and watching Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce perform publicly in a private suite.
Meanwhile, Wintour, 74, sat next to actor Eddie Redmayne.
The men’s championship game was the perfect place to be, as many stars including Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves packed the venue.
As for Swift and Kelce, both 34, they weren’t shy about kissing their date and were seen kissing, singing and dancing together.
The “Cruel Summer” singer and Kansas City Chiefs tight end sat alongside the athlete’s teammate, Patrick Mahomes, and his wife, Brittany Mahomes.
The group continued the fun by dining at Mediterranean restaurant Meduza in the Meatpacking District.
