Police shot and killed a man wanted for multiple murders after he lunged at them with a knife in a Brooklyn apartment building on Friday, sources said.
NYPD officers shot the armed suspect inside the building on East 21st Street, near Dorchester Road in Flatbush, around 5:30 p.m., according to police sources.
When police approached the man, he was brandishing a knife, sources said.
Officers then attempted to use a Taser to subdue him, but he lunged at them, prompting police to open fire.
The suspect was wanted in connection with the deaths of a man and woman whose rotting bodies were discovered in a Brooklyn apartment in July, sources told The Post.
The woman was found with stab wounds all over her body and a decomposed man was nearby in the Ditmas Avenue residence she shared with her son. A knife was also found.
The suspect is also believed to be linked to another murder in Brooklyn, sources said.
