Authorities continue to investigate a robbery that occurred last week at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Park Ridge.

According to a press release from the police department, around 1 a.m. on October 4, an alleged offender entered the 7-Eleven store at 814 Higgins Road and “confronted the clerk while displaying a knife.”

The individual demanded that the store employee give the would-be thief money from the cash register and the worker’s wallet. He then fled on foot, westbound, away from the store, according to the release.

Police describe the offender as being between 5’7″ and 5’9″, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black hooded jacket with fur around the hood, blue jeans, black shoes, white rubber gloves and gray clothing. colorful backpack.
