While the Chicago area was plunged into fall temperatures after what seemed like six more weeks of summer, warmer temperatures are returning to the region for this weekend.
Temperatures are in the mid to upper 50s by mid-morning across the region, with bright skies expected to persist throughout the day.
Steadily rising temperatures are expected late this afternoon, with highs likely approaching the mid-70s between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Those enjoying the pleasant fall temperatures will also experience a fairly stiff breeze, with southerly winds of 10 to 15 miles per hour expected through much of Saturday.
Skies will likely remain clear through the evening, with low temperatures falling into the upper 40s and winds calming to around five miles per hour from the southwest.
Conditions on Sunday are expected to be similar, making it another great day to soak up some fall activities in the Chicago area.
Bright skies and warmer temperatures will continue, with high temperatures in the area tomorrow likely reaching the 70s with southwest winds gusting 10 to 20 miles per hour.
Warmer temperatures will persist at least through early next week, with temperatures into the 70s forecast for Monday and Tuesday.
From here, temperatures will be a little more seasonal, with highs in the 60s to end the coming week.
