The City Council and Mayor Adams had disputes that saw the override of the veto on housing vouchers, solitary confinement and police stops. They argued over the Board’s desire for more confirmation authority and over its choice of nominee for company attorney. And they are divided on the proposals of the Charter Review Commission. But as sharp as these disagreements seem, in the long run they are minor.
