The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Bartlesville and surrounding areas in eastern Oklahoma until 6 p.m. Monday.
Forecasters warn that storms this afternoon and evening could bring threats of tornadoes, potentially high and destructive winds and large hail.

Tornado Preparedness
Residents are encouraged to remain aware of weather conditions throughout the day and prepare a shelter-in-place plan, whether at home or while traveling.
Authorities recommend identifying a safe location, ideally an interior room on the lowest floor, away from windows and exterior walls. If you are in a public place, familiarize yourself with emergency exits and follow the instructions of local authorities.

Tornado touchdowns in Oklahoma
Around 11:30 a.m. on November 4, News9’s storm tracking system reported a possible tornado near Katie.
A tornado warning for Shawnee and areas of the Northeast was issued just minutes before.

A second was issued for Elmore City, Katie and Foster.
Portions of Interstate 35 are under a tornado watch until 6 p.m.
Tinker Air Force Base, Harrah and other areas of Oklahoma City were hit by tornadoes on Sunday, November 3, which damaged structures and caused high winds and hail.
