A suburban New York elementary school has been called out for teaching a lesson on gender identity to kindergartners after a copy of the lesson began circulating on social media.
Hillside Elementary School, part of the Hastings-on-Hudson Free District, teaches a “gender curriculum” to primary school children in an effort to promote “inclusion” at the school, according to the course description reviewed by Fox News. Digital.
The course includes showing kindergarten students photos of other children which are used to “introduce vocabulary to describe characters of different identities”, including teaching them the terms “cisgender, transgender and non-binary”, according to a message to parents regarding the curriculum.
