A central Florida sheriff’s office is looking for 30 people they say participated in an “intersection takeover” that terrorized drivers and damaged cars.
Crowds closed the intersection of South John Young Parkway and Central Florida Parkway on November 30, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) said on Facebook.
The large group “set the roadway on fire and used the space reserved for cars to do donuts around the flames”, before harassing innocent drivers, preventing them from passing.
“There’s a baby in the car,” someone can be heard yelling in footage from the scene shared by the sheriff’s office.

The suspects “in some cases climbed on top of vehicles and damaged them,” OCSO said. Law enforcement said “this reckless and violent behavior poses a grave danger” to the community and is committed to “holding those responsible to account.”
A Tesla driver said the damage to his car was estimated at $60,000 after “dozens of people jumped on his vehicle and started kicking the windshield of his vehicle, the causing it to break,” according to an affidavit obtained by the Miami Herald.

Some of the suspects appeared to be trying to conceal their identities, while others took out their cellphones to record the action.
“I really feel bad for the people who were trying to go about their daily lives and got caught up in this mess,” said Dave Nutting, a law enforcement specialist and retired deputy with the sheriff’s office. at FOX 35 Orlando.

No arrests or injuries were reported following the incident.
