Knife attacks have been reported in Southport, resulting in multiple casualties.
Merseyside Police said officers were called to a property on Hart Street at around 11.50am BST.
There are a number of casualties reported, but the statement did not give further details, which will be “confirmed as soon as possible,” according to authorities.
Armed police arrested a man who was taken to the police station and seized a knife.
Police have urged people to avoid the area while they deal with the incident, adding that there is “no wider threat to the public”.
