It was a big family celebration at Brody Jenner and Tia Blanco’s house earlier this week as they celebrated their daughter Honey’s first birthday. A lot of their extended family was on hand for the fairy-themed festivities, including Honey’s grandparents Caitlyn Jenner and Linda Thompson.
Caitlyn and Thompson, both 74, were married from 1981 to 1986 and had sons Brody and Brandon. Despite being divorced, Thompson spoke only of Caitlyn with affection. In a 2016 interview with ABC NewsShe expressed compassion for Caitlyn and recalled a moment when she came out as transgender. “My deepest compassion was for [Caitlyn]…that she felt so trapped in the wrong body,” Thompson said. “It broke my heart to think [she] had fought so long and so hard.
To this day, the Olympic gold medalist and the songwriter remain on good terms. The two men appear to be in good spirits, as indicated by a carousel of photos shared by Thompson.
In a series of photos, Thompson and Caitlyn are seen smiling together, dressed in bright colors and enjoying time with their children and grandchildren. “We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family and extended family, in-laws and no outlaws,” Thompson said in the caption of the post.
Elsewhere on the carousel, Honey enjoys her cake and playfully pops it. The family also poses for a group photo, cementing memories of a fun first birthday and an afternoon well spent.
