While there will be no Christmas market at Wrigley Field in 2024, officials announced that two locations will reopen in Chicago and Aurora on Nov. 22.

Officials with German-American Events said the 28th season is set to kick off Nov. 22 at Daley Plaza in Chicago and RiverEdge Park in Aurora. The Daley Plaza venue is at 50 W. Washington St. and RiverEdge Park is at 360 N. Broadway in Aurora, according to a news release.

In Chicago, the holiday market begins on November 22 and continues through Christmas Eve according to the following schedule:

• Sunday to Thursday: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

In Aurora, the market also begins on November 22nd according to the following schedule:

• Thursday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Sundays: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Monday (December 23): 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Daley Plaza is once again welcoming vendors, and more German events will be announced in the coming weeks. The exclusive Chicago Preview Party, which will offer a more intimate experience before the market opens to the public, is scheduled for November 21. Those interested in this exclusive preview should sign up for the Christkindlmarket newsletter to be notified when tickets go on sale.

In Aurora, officials expect vendor participation to grow to more than 55, including some Chicago favorites like Chiya Chai, Bearhands & Buddies and Syrin, the release said. For the first time, receptions can be booked inside RiverEdge Park’s heated Timber Tent, providing an ideal setting for corporate meetings, family celebrations and more. Reservation requests can be made through the website. Aurora will also return to family-friendly activities such as a scavenger hunt, glassblowing workshops and a lantern parade, the release said.

Officials are encouraging people to follow Christkindlmarket on Instagram for information on two contests: one with Chicago hotel sponsor Staypineapple for a one-night stay, and another with Aurora’s Paramount Theatre for a pair of Frozen tickets. Both giveaways include a pair of annual souvenir mugs.

Due to the NHL Winter Classic game and additional programming, the Christmas Market will not be held in Wrigleyville at Gallagher Way this year.
