The Dallas Cowboys and CeeDee Lamb appear to be even more at odds than before, with owner Jerry Jones recently saying he’s “in no rush” to sign the star wide receiver.

Lamb caught wind of the response and immediately responded on social media with a simple “lol.” The drama between Lamb and Cowboys management has now reached an even more awkward level.
Lamb has officially unfollowed the Cowboys on all social media and removed “America’s Team” from his X-rated bio. To top it off, he also appears to be hinting at which team he wants to join next.
Lamb and his former Oklahoma teammate, Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, both changed their X banners to photos of each other.
This could mean Lamb is considering playing for the Kansas City Chiefs, where Brown currently plays. Either that, or Lamb is telling everyone where he’ll end up.
While nothing has been revealed yet in terms of his contract, or lack thereof, Lamb’s arrival with the Chiefs would instantly make them Super Bowl favorites. The Chiefs are already favored to make a deep playoff run, but giving quarterback Patrick Mahomes a receiver like Lamb to throw the ball would be unfair.
The Chiefs already have tight end Travis Kelce, who is in a class of his own. The offense also features receiver Rashee Rice and newly drafted Xavier Worthy.
With Lamb added to that unit, Mahomes would have a literal and metaphorical ranking day.
Lamb declined to attend training camp in an attempt to sign a new contract, but Jones was stubborn in his efforts. One report indicated that the Cowboys had sent Lamb a new contract, but no details on the contract amount were released.
Whatever the Cowboys sent, it may not have been what Lamb was looking for at all, because he continued to resist.
The feud between Lamb and the Cowboys has now reached a fever pitch. While Lamb’s inclusion of a photo of Brown only adds a ton of speculation, the drama that has transpired over the past few weeks could add fuel to the fire of the prospect of Lamb eventually joining a new team.
Jones has been coy about offering Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott new long-term contracts, and that coy attitude may already be coming back to haunt him. The Cowboys’ chances of making a playoff run would be seriously diminished if Lamb doesn’t play in 2024.
