A 72-year-old passenger is believed to have died after falling from the Princess cruise ship.

A 72-year-old American man traveling aboard a Princess Cruise ship mysteriously disappeared from the boat, leading authorities to believe he fell overboard at some point during the five-day trip around the Mexico.

Authorities launched a search for the passenger after the Ruby Princess docked in San Francisco shortly before 7 a.m. Monday and crews realized the passenger was nowhere to be found on board, the cruise line said.

The man, who has not been publicly identified, was traveling alone and is feared dead.

“Princess worked all day with local authorities. CCTV footage was also extensively reviewed and the ship was searched thoroughly on several occasions without success,” a spokesperson for the cruise line told The Post.

“After ruling out other possibilities, this is being treated as a man overboard incident.”

“We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the guest who was traveling alone,” the spokesperson added.

The Ruby Princess departed for Ensenada, Mexico on November 27.

It was not immediately known when the passenger went overboard.
