Former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas promised an OMG party at his Trafford Center restaurant at the weekend and he certainly delivered it. Joined by a host of star pals, everyone was soon hitting the dancefloor at the Oh My Glaze burger joint for some incredible dance-offs on Saturday night.
Adam was joined by a host of his showbiz pals – including former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh who is joining him in the eagerly-anticipated new series of Waterloo Road on the BBC. And they showed off their dance skills together in a really impressive jive around the OMG dance floor to Toploader’s Dancing in the Moonlight.
And school was definitely out for a host of Waterloo Road’s other stars who are filming on the BBC show. They joined Adam at the event on Saturday night held at The Hangar outside The Great Hall to celebrate the Easter holidays.

That included fellow former Corrie stars Sonia Ibrahim, who will be playing school social worker Jamilah in the new series, alongside Rachel Leskovac who will play English teacher Coral. Kym has been confirmed to play mum-of-two Nicky who also works in the school canteen in the new series which is set to air on the beeb later this year.
Kym and Adam showed off some impressive skills during their jive, which was filmed by Adam’s twin brother Scott Thomas who was also enjoying the party on Saturday night. Captioning the video “Go on Kym and Adam” as they sashayed across the floor, Kym also shared the video thanking Adam for a great night.
Adam will be returning to Waterloo Road in the role of Donte Charles, much to the excitement of fans of the original BBC series which first began airing in 2006. And in further great news for fans, he will return with Katie Griffiths playing his wife Chlo Charles.
Kym and Adam are back filming on home turf in Manchester on the new show, at an as-yet-to-be-disclosed location. The original Waterloo Road was all filmed in Rochdale.
Speaking on the announcement of her new role earlier this year, Kym said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the fabulous cast of Waterloo Road, it’s such a joy to get the opportunity to film in Manchester again and I can not wait to get going! ”
I’m a Celebrity star Adam was certainly in the mood for dancing on Saturday night. He was pictured happily hitting the dancefloor with a host of friends, family and guests who had headed down to the huge free party at the Hangar to celebrate the Easter holidays.
But it was Adam’s adorable 7-year-old son Teddy who rather stole the show on the dancefloor. Teddy, who is also set to start in the new series of Waterloo Road following in his dad’s footsteps, showed his serious star quality as he joined break dancers in a bit of a “dance off” at the event.
And Teddy sparked huge cheers as he showed off some leg spins before an absolutely incredible caterpillar maneuver across the dancefloor as his proud dad Adam and mum Caroline looked on. He appears to be following in his mum’s footsteps too as Caroline is an incredible dancer who runs her own dance school, ABCD dance in Altrincham.
As if that were not talent enough, Teddy also joined former Corrie and Hollyoaks star Chris Fountain at the event to do a spot of DJing too!
Guests at the bash also included Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley, who headed along with her sons Rocco and Renz. Tanya joined Scott, Adam and their mum Gail and later took to Instagram to thank them for a brilliant night saying “you smashed it”.
Oh My Glaze has returned to the outdoor social space at the Trafford Center for the rest of this week. People will be able to get hold of their popular burgers, loaded fries and shakes until Sunday, April 24th.
Adam and his old school friend Scott have got “big plans all round” for both the Oh My Glaze brand and their Gatley restaurant The Spinn in the months ahead, with exciting news coming soon. The old school friends realized a lifelong dream when they launched their first restaurant together, The Spinn in Gatley, in 2019.
Adam, 32, and Scott, 33, have been friends since school days at The Kingsway in Cheadle – and had talked about opening a restaurant together for years. While Adam went on to a showbiz career, with roles on Waterloo Road and Emmerdale, Scott launched his own successful sauce business Oh My Glaze.
But they still had those dreams of a restaurant – and a fortuitous night out at a casino would lead to a bet on a roulette wheel, with the two men agreeing that if they won, they would finally launch the business.
Their number did come up that night – which they saw as a sign and the name of the restaurant is inspired by that winning “spin” of the roulette.
Through lockdown, they diversified with takeaways and launched a full burger menu, which was such a success that it spawned a spin-off Spinn at MediaCity last year, and now the pop-up Oh My Glaze at the Trafford Center.
The Hanger is open all this week for the remainder of the Easter holidays, alongside the huge outdoor fairground attraction and Gandey’s Circus.
