Adele FINALLY travels to Las Vegas to check on her much-delayed residency

Adele has been pictured on her way to Las Vegas to check up on the progress of her long delayed residency, after finally rescheduling the shows that will begin in November this year.

The singer announced the new dates in July, months after leaving fans thousands of pounds out of pocket when she pulled the plug on her shows with just 24 hours notice.

Now it seems as though the 34-year-old superstar is determined not to disappoint paying customers once again as she was spotted boarding a private jet in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Adele had been set to open her Weekends with Adele show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace back in January but cancelled at the very last minute, leaving fans devastated over wasted money on flights and hotels.

The Set Fire to the Rain star – who is dating sports agent Rich Paul – was seen dressed casual with a team of assistants as she sported gold ring with a diamond on her finger.

She is said to have been on her way to a private viewing of her stage in Sin City, after it was rumored she had been unsatisfied with last time.

After rescheduled dates for the gig were leaked, the singer took to Instagram in July to confirm the show will start in November as she thanked fans for their ‘patience’ and revealed that priority will be given to existing ticket holders.

Alongside a show poster she penned: ‘Words can’t explain how ecstatic I am to finally be able to announce these rescheduled shows. I truly was heartbroken to have to cancel them.

‘But after what feels like an eternity of figuring out logistics for the show that I really want to deliver, and knowing it can happen, I’m more excited than ever!

‘To be with you in such an intimate space every week has been what I’ve most been looking forward to and I’m going to give you the absolute best of me.

‘Thank you for your patience, I love you ♥️ Adele.’

Despite rumours that the residency was being moved to a different venue, Adele confirmed she will still perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The  new dates come after it was reported that the Easy On Me hitmaker had been motivated to ‘push forward’ with rescheduling her Sin City shows after returning to the stage for two sell-out gigs at Hyde Park in London at the beginning of July.

A source told The Sun: ‘Adele loved performing in London and it gave her the drive to push forward with her Vegas residency.

‘An announcement is coming in the next few weeks. Management have asked for a celebration to promote her return.’

Back in January, the Grammy Award winning songstress wept as she explained to fans that she had ‘tried everything’ to get her show up and running but Covid had ‘destroyed’ everything.

She said in a video shared to her social media channels: ‘I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready.

‘We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid.

‘Half my crew and team are [ill] with Covid and still are, and it’s been impossible.’

The star was reportedly unhappy with the staging, which involved her singing the songs in a mocked-up swimming pool. But her decision infuriated fans, many of whom had forked out thousands to travel long distances to the gigs.

Earlier this month, during a performance at BST Festival in Hyde Park London, the singer said she was utterly ‘mortified’ at having to cancel the shows, saying the last thing she wanted was to ‘let people down’.

The Grammy-winning star was performing her first UK gig in five years as she told the crowds that she ‘takes singing very seriously’.

She told the crowd: ‘I know that a lot of things have happened with this album and I’m sure a lot of you feel that you’ve been let down and stuff, which is mortifying really and upsetting to me.

Insiders in the Caesars Palace camp told TMZ in May that the resort and Live Nation had to arrive at a workable arrangement with the singer within a month in order for the show to go forward.

Adele’s boyfriend Rich Paul, a top-flight sports agent, had apparently entered the negotiations on the show, which is allegedly projected to make $150 million.

The sources said that Adele had multiple bones of contention about the show, including but not limited to the choir and the sound system.

Caesars insiders also cited a disagreement over a swimming pool that was meant to be part of the concert set.

Previously, rumours circulated that Adele fought with the set designer over the water feature.

In April, Adele reportedly fired her creative team and hired a whole new one in a bid to help save her postponed residency.

She is understood to have split with the creative team behind the residency and instead drafted in Take That’s creative expert to take the reins.

Her decision comes after she revealed the postponed run of concerts will ‘absolutely’ be happening this year as she wants to have another baby next year.

Adele parted ways with her long-term collaborator Esmeralda ‘Es’ Devlin, who designed the set for her 121-date tour in 2016, and hired Kim Gavin and Stufish, according to The Telegraph.

Artistic director Kim has been behind every Take That tour since 1992 and has won a BAFTA for his work on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

Meanwhile, Stufish are the production designers who are behind the Rolling Stones upcoming 60th anniversary tour and Stormzy’s Heavy is the Head tour.
