Sources have said that another map for Warzone 2 is well underway, but that it will likely be released sometime after Warzone 2 is launched. Not much is currently known about the second map, but it has been suggested that it could be the same size as Rebirth Island from the original war zone.
A source who recently participated in a playback test for Warzone 2 said the card was visible in the game’s menu, but the curator had stated that this card is currently under early development and was not available to play in that session.

It is not entirely clear when this second map will be released, but it will likely be released during year two of Modern Warfare 2’s cycle if the Warzone trend with content continues. This suggests that the second card is likely to be released in December 2023.
It can be assumed that Warzone 2 will also follow a similar release schedule as the original Warzone, which was released in March 2020, suggesting that Warzone 2 will be released in March 2023.
However, it has been suggested that this does not appear to be the case. However, Warzone 2 will apparently not be released at the launch of Modern Warfare 2 and will be released shortly after.
A source had said that during a company-wide meeting earlier this year, Warzone 2 was currently set to “a few months after MW2” rather than the 5-6 months after launch, which can be assumed based on the previous Warzone release .

Of course, the plans may change, but it seems that the current plan is to release Warzone 2 around December 2022 – January 2023.
Warzone 2 is set to be a refresher for Warzone and should to some extent be considered a brand new Call of Duty title set to innovate the success of the original Warzone.
Like other Call of Duty titles that are not the latest in the series, the original Warzone will still be playable, but support for the game will likely drop.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is set to release on October 28, 2022 and is set to have a full unveiling on June 8, 2022.
