The US military confirmed it carried out airstrikes in Yemen, saying it targeted a missile storage site and command and control center operated by Iran-backed Houthi rebels.

“CENTCOM forces have carried out deliberate strikes to disrupt and degrade Houthi operations, such as attacks on U.S. Navy warships and merchant ships in the southern Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb and in the Gulf of Aden,” CENTCOM said in a press release.
