Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia’s friendship with Grace O’Malley is OK.
The ‘Plan Bri Uncut’ podcast co-hosts and their longtime BFFs shut down rumors they were arguing after TikTok users noticed LaPaglia didn’t publicly wish O’ happy birthday Malley.
“I haven’t had TikTok in months. But apparently all anyone does there is talk about my life,” LaPaglia wrote on his Instagram Story on Wednesday — despite posting on the video-sharing app on October 8.
LaPaglia, who recently went through a breakup with country singer Zach Bryan, told her followers that she “wasn’t interested in sharing [her] personal online relationships are no more because the internet wants so badly to ruin them all.
However, with all the chatter surrounding his friendship with O’Malley, LaPaglia felt the need to clear the air.
“Grace has been like a sister since I was 15,” she wrote. “I privately wished him a happy birthday.”
LaPaglia, 25, reminded fans that she was “having a hell of a week” following her split from Bryan, so she didn’t think to post a birthday message on social media on Sunday when O’Malley turned 26.
“That’s all there is to say,” she concluded her message.
O’Malley also took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday to address rumors about the couple.
“This past year and many years has been a whirlwind for Brianna and I’s friendship,” she captioned a photo of herself pointing a toy gun at Bryan.
“Yes. There’s no denying that. But I wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t at least kindly ask you to give her the space and time she needs to move forward and heal.
This is the second time in five months that LaPaglia and O’Malley have been forced to shut down rumors of a rift between them.
After LaPaglia said in May that she was considering launching a solo podcast, some listeners assumed she was abandoning her longtime friend.
O’Malley later admitted on “Plan Bri Uncut” that the duo weren’t “agreed” but called out internet trolls for trying to “pin” [them] against each other. »
LaPaglia, for her part, insisted on her other Barstool podcast, “BFFs,” that she and O’Malley would be “best friends forever.”
