PARIS — The closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics will see several stars emerge: Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg and Red Hot Chili Peppers are scheduled to perform on Sunday.
The lineup will feature a star-studded lineup of stars who will take to the stage for the Los Angeles 2028 Games. All of the artists are from California, including HER, who is set to perform the US national anthem live at the Stade de France.
“This is the biggest moment in LA28 history to date as the Olympic flag moves from Paris to Los Angeles,” LA28 President Casey Wasserman said in a statement. “We are thrilled to showcase the best of LA with local artists and are grateful to Billie, H.E.R., the Chili Peppers and Snoop for their collaboration on what will be an incredible show for a global audience that will give fans a taste of what’s to come in 2028.”
The opening ceremony featured Lady Gaga and Celine Dion’s return to the stage after her career-threatening diagnosis of stiff-person syndrome.
Los Angeles will host the Olympic Games for the third time, with previous games having taken place in 1984 and 1932. This will be the first time the city has hosted the Paralympic Games.
