Police are investigating after a masked gunman murdered United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, 50, outside a Midtown Hilton hotel early Wednesday morning, Dec. 4, 2024, in New York. The executive was scheduled to speak before a ballroom full of colleagues when he was shot and killed before 7 a.m. outside a hotel on 6th Avenue near W 54th Street. The gunman remains at large after having fled the scene where the police suspected him. perhaps he was waiting for Thompson.
