The four men, aged 16, 19, 26 and 27, have been released on bail pending further investigation and the results of forensic tests.
Neighbourhood Chief Inspector Keith Smith said: “Thankfully there has been no loss of life in this case, but it is obviously a concerning incident. I want to reassure people that officers responded quickly and made arrests swiftly, thanks to information provided by the community.
“Our investigations to gather the evidence we will need to lay charges are continuing. Although there is no indication of a risk to the general public, we will continue to send uniformed police officers to carry out reassurance patrols in the area.”
