A large scene has been set up in the residential area as part of the investigations, to establish all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A resident said he saw a man “fly over the bonnet” of the car which failed to stop and fled. An internet box and part of a garden wall were also knocked over. Police confirmed the car was involved in the disturbance and investigations suggest it was driven towards the victim.
Footage taken on Sunday evening showed a large security cordon in place with several police vehicles on the scene. Officers could be seen carrying out door-to-door investigations.
