Cardi B will not perform at a music festival in Atlanta this weekend due to a medical emergency, she announced on social media Wednesday.
The “Bodak Yellow” artist, 32, has been hospitalized for several days, but she has not revealed her condition.
“I’m really sad to share this news, but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency for the past few days and will not be able to perform at ONE MusicFest,” Cardi wrote in an Instagram post . “It breaks my heart not to be able to see my fans this weekend, and I really wish I could be there.”
Cardi, whose legal name is Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, was scheduled to headline the festival on Saturday night. The event also features Earth, Wind & Fire, Nelly, Gunna and GloRilla performing Saturday and Sunday at Central Park in Atlanta.
“Let us all keep [Cardi] in our prayers for a full recovery! » read an Instagram post from the Wednesday evening of the festival. “We are working hard to find a replacement at this late date. More to come soon.
These few months and days have been dramatic for Cardi. In August, she filed for divorce from her husband Offset for the second time, then announced almost immediately after that she was pregnant with the couple’s third child.
She gave birth on September 7 and shared photos from the hospital with Offset and their two other children, Kulture, 6, and Wave, 3.
On Monday of this week, Child Protective Services workers arrived at her home after a prank, according to an angry social media video she recorded Tuesday morning from the hospital.
And on Wednesday, Cardi turned on Offset in a series of since-deleted tweets, calling him a “dirty narcissistic piece of shit” and wishing “the worst for this man.”
