A Chicago neighborhood has received a prestigious accolade in a recent ranking by TimeOut, which listed the 38 “coolest neighborhoods in the world,” compiled from feedback from the publication’s “network of on-the-ground experts” around the world.
Although the ranking includes neighborhoods in cities from all corners of the world, Logan Square on Chicago’s North Side was named one of the few American neighborhoods to make the list, ranking 34th.
The publication hails the vibrant neighborhood as a “high-energy cultural hub” filled with some of the city’s most notable bars and restaurants.
Considered a pedestrian-friendly area with a bustling business district along Milwaukee Avenue, Logan Square was also known for the historic limestone homes that line scenic Logan Boulevard.
For visitors to Chicago, TimeOut recommends visiting the city when the weather permits, to enjoy al fresco dining, farmers markets and photogenic neighborhoods.

- No. 5 – Kerns, Portland, Oregon
