New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave took a bad hit during their Week 9 game against the Carolina Panthers and was carted off the field.
Quarterback Derek Carr threw a pass to Olave, which allowed the receiver to be hit hard by two Carolina defenders.
This led to several people calling out Carr and the Saints as a whole, including Olvae’s brother.
Josh Olave shared an update on X that Chris had called him and was “up and active.” One X user shared the post saying: “Might be time to ask ‘is it worth it?’ talk.”
“It’s not worth it in Nola, I’ll tell you that,” Josh Olave responded.
That matches the sentiment of countless people online, including former Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas and former Rookie of the Year Robert Griffin III.
“Alright people, that’s all,” Griffin said in a video he shared on X. “I’ve had enough. Quarterbacks are throwing way too many hospital balls in the NFL now.”
“We need to stop throwing hospital balls. Not just for our catchers, but for the game and their long term health with their families. Come on guys, we need to be better.”
