Crazy Seattle man arrested for randomly stabbing 9 people in 38 hours:

A maniac has been arrested for stabbing nine people in a series of random attacks over the course of two days in Seattle, Washington, cops say.

Over a 38-hour period, the unnamed suspect stabbed the victims in an approximately four-block area in the Chinatown International District, according to Seattle police.

The random stabbings sent four of the victims to Harborview Medical Center.

All of those patients entered the hospital in critical condition — and two remained in critical condition as of Friday evening, according to the Associated Press. Another victim was upgraded to satisfactory condition and another to serious condition on Friday.

One of those victims, a 53-year-old man, was stabbed in the neck and was bleeding profusely before receiving treatment, according to police.

Police followed a blood trail left by the victim as part of their investigation, according to SPD Blotter.

Seattle police said the attacker stabbed five people on Friday and was suspected of committing four other stabbings that occurred in the same neighborhood on Thursday.

Deputy Chief Eric Barden cited similar suspect descriptions and crime profiles as reason to believe the same man was responsible for both days’ attacks, according to the AP.

“This incident apparently involves an individual who committed random assaults over a 38-hour period,” Barden said at the crime scene Friday, according to the outlet.

SPD said they found the suspect through witness descriptions. He was found with a gun nearby, the AP reported.

On Thursday, a 53-year-old woman, a 32-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were all stabbed multiple times in the Chinatown neighborhood, according to police.

“The stabbing attacks in Little Saigon and International Chinatown are horrific, appalling and should not happen anywhere in our city,” Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell said in a statement.

“Every person deserves to feel and be safe, and I remain committed to using all available tools to improve the safety of Little Saigon and the Chinatown-International Historic District for all residents, workers and visitors,” he said. writes the mayor.

A tenth stabbing on Thursday evening could also be part of the madman’s madness. Cops say an attacker tried to steal the phone of a 60-year-old man sitting in his car. The attacker brandished the knife towards the victim’s chest, but he managed to push it away with his hand.
