If you consider yourself to be a dance-out-loud-er, the kind of person who will shake a hip pretty much any place where a hip can be shaken, then you’re like the kind of party who appreciates a happy, pay-nothing, enjoy-evening event centered around movement.
And Dance DTLA?
It’s certainly one of Southern California’s most famous and beloved bastions of sheer swing-a-tude, a summer series that invites people of all ages to effervescently shake their things at Music Center’s quaint Jerry Moss Plaza.

In DTLA
The free happenings are ready to hit a toe again, from Friday, June 3, so find your dancing shoes, one flare skirt, your favorite boogie buddy, and make plans to drop by for one or more nights in the coming months.
Important information? Dance DTLA is having a couple of Fridays off in 2022, so you should check the schedule.
And checking the schedule is generally a smart move, for every Dance DTLA night has a different theme.
Motown is only up on June 3 with Salsa, Hip Hop and Bollywood on the program. There’s an Argentine tango night, a K-Pop party and a lively gathering dedicated to Voguing.
And if you never have tango outside your living room, do not fret: Free instruction is part of every Dance DTLA night, giving beginners a chance to learn the movements and more experienced dancers a chance to hone their skills.
If you would like to participate, you are invited to respond to the Dance DTLA page (where a note strongly recommends that you arrive with a mask on).
Do not wait too long to try your best spins and dips: This starlit spectacular will end it all on September 2nd with a sweet evening dedicated to Samba.
