Deadline looms for Worcestershire high school places

WORCESTERSHIRE parents have until the end of the month to apply for their child’s high school place.

The county council is reminding parents that the application deadline for a child who is transitioning to high school next year is October 31, 2022.

The applications have been open online since the start of September and letters were sent to any child transitioning to a high school in the next school year.

Cabinet Member with responsibility for education at Worcestershire County Council, Councillor Tracey Onslow said: “The transition up the educational ladder is a big step for children, and we aim to make this change as smooth as possible.

“It is especially important that the deadline for application is met to avoid missing out on a place”.

The deadline for applications to primary, first, junior, and middle schools is January 15, 2023.
