Death investigation launched after 63-year-old man found unresponsive in Chicago River Friday afternoon – Chicago Tribune

Chicago police have launched a death investigation after a 63-year-old man was pulled from the Chicago River Friday afternoon in the Loop.

Around 1:20 p.m., a man was discovered unresponsive in the river in the 300 block of South Wacker Drive. He was pulled from the water and transported to Insight Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives were investigating the death while awaiting autopsy results.
