The Democratic National Convention on Tuesday featured a new video tackling what is quickly becoming a sore point for Donald Trump: his strangeness.
Democratic politicians and other left-wing figures have taken to describing Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), as “weirdos.”
And the former president doesn’t like it at all, as he has repeatedly denied being weird in recent weeks.
The new clip will likely take it even further, calling it not only weird, but dangerous:
The “strange” attacks gnaw at Trump enough that he continues to bring them up in interviews and at rallies.
“She called me ‘weird,’” he said last week of Vice President Kamala Harris. “And she called JD and I ‘weird.’ He’s not weird, he was a great student at Yale.”
At another event earlier this month, he said he and Vance were not weird, but rather “very solid people” and “the opposite of weird.”
Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, said last month that he used the “weirdo” label for Trump and other right-wing figures because it took away their power to instill fear.
“The fascists rely on fear,” he said. “But we’re not afraid of weird people. We’re a little scared, but we’re not afraid.”
