She said what she said.
Doja Cat has denied she is engaged to “Stranger Things” star Joseph Quinn after wearing a ring on her left hand during her performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
“No I’m not engaged, it’s a David Yurman ring with no stone in it,” the “Paint the Town Red” singer, 28, tweeted before deleting it early Sunday morning.
Engagement rumours began to surface after a video of Doja – born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini – performing at her show went viral.
While performing her hit “Agora Hills,” the pop star stopped and held out her hand, showing off a ring on that finger.
“Rub it in their face, put a rock in their hand,” she sang as the crowd went wild.
“OMG Doja Cat and Joseph Quinn got engaged,” one user tweeted.
“JOSEPH QUINN AND DOJA CAT ARE ENGAGED???” another asked.
“I don’t know what to think, I don’t think she’s engaged, it’s been a month,” wrote a third confused fan.
Last month, Doja went public with her relationship with Quinn, 30, when they were spotted displaying public affection during an outing in London.
According to photos obtained by gossip blog DeuxMoi, the “Say So” musician was seen cuddled up with her head on the “A Quiet Place: Day One” actor’s shoulder as they partied at Dingwalls.
The site also shared a video of the couple on a romantic walk together. In the clip, Doja held Quinn’s hand behind her back while he caressed her butt with his other hand.
Days later, the Grammy winner and Quinn were spotted holding hands during another walk in the Big Smoke, where the actor was born.
The couple appeared smitten with each other as they smiled and chatted during their romantic stroll.
Two years ago, Doja’s interest in Quinn was made public by her “Stranger Things” co-star Noah Schnapp when he posted private DMs between him and the “Kiss Me More” singer to the public.
In the messages, Doja asked Schnapp – who was 17 at the time – if Quinn had a girlfriend before the teen actor sent a link to his castmate’s Instagram account.
After the private messages were made public, the “Woman” singer slammed the “Tutor” actor, 19, for leaking their private conversation, calling him “incredibly socially ignorant and a weirdo.”
“Maybe he’s like a whole snake. But I didn’t see it that way. I assumed he was going to be relaxed about it and he went and shared information that I wasn’t comfortable sharing with him,” she told fans during an Instagram Live video in July 2022.
A few days later, Schnapp took to TikTok to clarify the situation.
“Guys, everything is fine, I apologized and I still follow her and love her music, no hard feelings,” the Netflix star said.
