Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has asked whether his party should be “reimbursed for fraud” for the resources it spent campaigning against President Joe Biden.

“So we are forced to spend time and money fighting corrupt Joe Biden, who polls poorly after a terrible debate, and drops out of the race. Now we have to do it all over again,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Sunday night.

“Shouldn’t the Republican Party be reimbursed for fraud since everyone around Joe, including his doctors and the fake news media, knew he was unfit to run or be president? I’m just asking?”

Biden announced Sunday that he would not seek reelection in November, after facing growing pressure from senior Democrats and voters concerned about his age and fitness to serve another term.
