Eight dogs are searching for loving homes in Manchester in time for Christmas

Eight adorable dogs are looking for new homes in Manchester in time for Christmas.

The crossbreeds have been in kennels through no fault of their own – but hope to secure a new home before the end of the year.

The kennel clubs estimate that there are 12 million dogs in the UK, with around 75 per cent of them being pedigree – meaning both parents are of the same breed.

But there others – known as crosses, mixes or affectionately called ‘Heinz 57’ – could be mergers of many different races.

Our sister site Teamdogs has gathered eight crosses that want to start their new life this Christmas. But those interested in rehousing a dog during the holidays should be reminded that a dog is for life, not just for Christmas.
