Eleven people robbed at gunpoint in half an hour in the southwest of the city

Chicago police are investigating a series of armed robberies on the city’s southwest side early Monday morning.

Two gunmen demanded the belongings of 11 victims in four separate attacks that occurred 30 minutes apart, authorities said. The victims, who ranged in age from 17 to 57, were ordered to lie on the ground while the gunmen searched their pockets and bags, police said. No injuries were reported.

Police have not confirmed whether the armed robberies, which took place in the New City and Brighton Park neighborhoods, are related, but the men fled in a dark-colored SUV. No one has been arrested yet, police said.
