Erik ten Hag’s appointment to Manchester United will allow Edu and Arsenal to sign a 22 million pound Brazilian star – Bailey Keogh

Arsenal may have had an opportunity to sign a long-term goal, Antony from Ajax, if Manchester United appoint Erik Ten Hag as their next coach.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s position as Manchester United manager is in a serious state, and the Reds are reportedly seeking to replace the Norwegian with Ten Hag.

The Ajax boss has created an exciting young team in the Eredivise, but his departure could lead to players wanting out of the club, where the Dutch side has a long history of cashing in their star talents after good races in the Champions League.

Arsenal have been linked with many Ajax players, but Antony in particular is a player who has previously caught the club’s attention and it’s a path Edu could visit again.

The Gunners first registered their interest in the young Brazilian before signing for Dutch side Ajax when he was a player at Sau Paulo.

The highly regarded Ajax winger Antony is reportedly also on Manchester City’s radar.

The Express claimed the club had not ruled out a move for the young man while Unai Emery was manager at Arsenal.

Antony played 37 games for Sao Paulo, scoring four goals while delivering six assists.

But it has been his performances in Europe that have attracted the attention of the biggest clubs around the continent, as he has been a solid starter for Ajax, playing 59 games for the club and scoring 14 goals while assisting his teammates to a goal of 15 times.

Manchester City are reportedly eager to sign Ajax winger Antony.
Ajax winger Antony received his first call-up to Brazil this season.

The young winger had performed so well for Ajax that it earned him recognition from the Brazilian international set-up, and he was called up for the first time ever in September.

His performance gave him a nod to the national team ahead of co-star Vinicius Junior from Real Madrid.

It takes many favorable scenarios for Arsenal to pick up the young man, but that is not an impossible result.

Solskjær’s time at Manchester United seems to be limited after a consistent series of defeats, and Ten Hag seems to be the most advantageous replacement that things look like.

Arsenal have been linked with other young wingers in Dejan Kulusevski and Noa Lang, and Antony is up there, if not better in terms of quality.

He would definitely be a welcome addition to the squad.
