Washington — FBI Director Christopher Wray is the next law enforcement official to be questioned by House lawmakers over the case assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump.
Wray testifies Wednesday before the Republican-led House Judiciary Committee about the FBI’s investigation into the July 13 attacks. shooting at trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
In a letter to Wray last week, Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan, the committee chairman, said there were “many unanswered questions about the failures that led to the attempted assassination of a president — the first in more than 40 years — as well as the FBI’s ability to conduct a prompt, transparent and thorough investigation following its recent scandals.”
The FBI, which is investigating the shooting as a potential act of domestic terrorism, has not yet determined the shooter’s motive.

Cheater testified before the House Oversight Committee The day before, she had promised accountability and called the attack the “most significant operational failure” for the Secret Service in decades.
