Aguilar was hospitalized in critical condition on September 13 after being involved in an attempted robbery in Los Angeles, KTLA reported.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), Aguilar and his wife, celebrity hairstylist Priscilla Valles, were confronted by four armed men in the driveway of their Bel-Air home on September 13.
The armed intruders eventually hit Aguilar several times, including once in the face, before fleeing, TMZ reports. LAPD officers were called around 4:30 p.m. that day.
Although it is unclear whether the victim was Aguilar at the time of the ordeal, his fitness company said he was “involved in a serious incident” and was “fighting bravely” in the unit intensive care in a post on Instagram.
“During this difficult time, we ask for your prayers, positive thoughts, and support for Miguel and his loved ones, and ask that you respect the privacy of his friends and family at this time,” the story shared at the time .
Three men have since been arrested in connection with the attempted robbery and shooting. They now face charges of murder, attempted robbery and assault with a firearm.
