The American burger giant Five Guys has confirmed its recent opening in Manchester – and is bringing its famous brand of giant burgers, hot dogs and milkshakes to Urmston for the first time.
The fast food restaurant opens its new base in Trafford Retail Park in Urmston – just a mile down the road from the very first location in Manchester, it launched at the Trafford Center back in 2014.
The new launch comes amid a period of rapid expansion in the UK for the US burger chain, which is also working on a new Five Guys at a prominent location at Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester.

Five Guys has not yet given a confirmed date for the Piccadilly launch, but the new Trafford Retail Park restaurant will officially open to the public from Monday, November 22nd.
Founded in Virginia in 1986 and launched in the UK in 2013 in London’s Covent Garden, the American diner-style restaurant has quickly become one of the UK’s most popular burger restaurants.
It has amassed a loyal fan base – with superstar fans including Tom Hardy, Mollie King, Ed Sheeran and Maya Jama all pictured enjoying their Five Guys in recent times.
The restaurant is known for its boasting of over 250,000 possible burger order combinations – where you can choose as many as extra options such as gherkins, mushrooms, crispy bacon and relish for free.
There are also said to be over 1,000 possible ways to customize their milkshakes, which helps make Five Guys something of a social media hit.
The Urmston branch has been built on the fast-developing Trafford Retail Park on Neary Way, just off Junction 10 on the M60 and close to the Trafford Center.
It will compete for a share of the fast food market along with the titans McDonald’s, Nando’s, KFC and Pizza Hut on the spot.
The retail park is also home to B&M, Home Bargains, Aldi, TK Maxx and a Starbucks drive among other retailers.
