Fraudster Melissa Caddick’s luxury goods go under the hammer
Melissa Caddick preyed on friends and family when she swindled over $23 million in a long-standing Ponzi scheme.
The self-styled financial advisor vanished in November 2020, right after her multi-million dollar home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs was raided by police.
The fraudster’s foot washed up on a NSW beach 400 kilometres from her multi-million-dollar mansion three months after she disappeared.
She’s presumed dead, but her many victims are still trying to recoup some of their losses.
Receivers have been directed to auction off her art, jewellery and clothing, with proceeds to be handed back to those she stole from.
The items give an insight into the lavish lifestyle Caddick was leading until authorities caught up with her.
