A Border The pilot was handcuffed aboard a plane in Houston and removed by Houston police before the flight was scheduled to depart, authorities confirmed Saturday.
The pilot was removed from Flight 3195 before its scheduled departure from Houston to Dallas. Houston police identified the pilot as Seymour Walker, 45, who was wanted on assault and domestic violence charges.
Law enforcement said they waited for the plane to arrive at a designated gate at George Bush Intercontinental Airport around 4 p.m. local time. Once all passengers were off the plane, officers boarded the plane and took the pilot into “custody without incident,” police said.
Frontier Airlines The incident was confirmed by CBS News in a statement: “The incident occurred before the scheduled departure of Flight 3195 from IAH to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW). No replacement crew member was immediately available and the flight was canceled.”
Passengers were offered a full refund, credit or a seat on the next available Frontier flight.
“Airlines report incidents like this to the FAA office that oversees them, and we investigate all pilot-related issues,” the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement.
