Felicia and Mac run into Laura and Martin out to dinner at The Metro Court Gardens. Felicia and Mac were supposed to be meeting Maxie, but she got called away. Laura tells them Kevin will be stopping by later so they should join them for a nightcap.
Mac and Felicia head to their table, and Martin and Laura discuss the fact that their brother wasn’t the one behind the attack on them. Laura believes it was Victor, and that she was the real target. She also believes Victor had a hand in Luke’s murder. Martin asks why Victor is running around free, so she explains the WSB believes Jennifer Smith killed Luke. She knows Jennifer Smith would never do such a thing, and she’s going to prove Victor was behind it. First, though, she thinks she’s found a way to have Victor deported.
At their table, Felicia wants to order champagne to celebrate Bailey’s clean bill of health, and to them being grandparents. She also wants to toast to the dressing down she gave Ryan. Mac exclaims, “You did what?” Felicia explains she had to tell him that he has lost, and she has won. Felicia revels in the fact that she told him he was an impotent maniac who deserves to be forgotten.

At General Hospital, Esme drops by to see Kevin and says she needs his help, and her future depends on it. She’s been accepted into PCU for the fall, and she’s focused on psychology. However, she has to apply to get into their program, which is very competitive. She has a topic for her amateur case study entrance essay and she needs his help because it is on Ryan. He curtly tells her that she’ll have to write this without his help. He reminds her that he already barred her from seeing his brother because he knows what Ryan is capable of. She scoffs that his brother is a legitimate subject of study and thinks his refusal to help her is personal. He again advises her to stay away from Ryan.
Esme only has one question, and wonders if Ryan was ever capable of forming a real bond with someone. Kevin sighs that he has to get to dinner, but Esme stops and again asks if Ryan has ever formed a sincere attachment with another human, and if he hasn’t, is it something hereditary. Kevin asks if this is for her assignment, or something more personal. She admits she doesn’t know who her biological parents are, so she has started to wonder about what she may have inherited. She knows she’s offended half the town, barely has friends and worries something is wrong with her. Ryan assures her that she’s not a narcissistic sociopath like Ryan. Kevin informs her that Ryan has a way of making people believe what he wants them to believe, and even locked in, he’s one of the most dangerous people ever. Kevin has to go, so Esme departs.
