A prisoner who escaped from a west London jail has been arrested following a manhunt.
Graham Gomm, 63, escaped from prison staff on Thursday after being taken to Hammersmith Hospital from HMP Wormwood Scrubs.
He had been taken to hospital after falling ill and was being held on remand in custody for burglary offences, the Metropolitan Police said.
Detectives said they were concerned for Gomm’s well-being as he received medical treatment before escaping.
The Metropolitan Police said Gomm was arrested in Putney at around 8.30am on Saturday.
“An investigation will continue into Mr Gomm’s escape from lawful custody,” a police spokesman said.
